  This type of eating is new in Macau, having started to make its way across from Hong Kong, and I found that “Fit in the Box” ticked all of the right boxes indeed when it comes to healthy eating and Vegan options. The cafe/takeaway bar is small, and as yet does not offer any real eat in seating or outdoor seating, other than that of a raised bar table and some small stools. However that is not necessarily a bad thing, as it is not trying to be a restaurant, and has a similar facility to perhaps a small, 2m squares Pret A Manger. The meal combos are all very tasty, however each ingredient that you choose is compartmentalised so do not expect a dish, but rather a healthy protein and fibre rich meal that you prescribe. As with many new styles of food in Macau, the portions aren’t overly generous, and so the value is fair but not quite ‘good.’ This is a snack pop up that needs our support though, and so I do not consider this negative, as it is not geared towards the larger western meal size. The ingredients you can choose from are great and are even listed for their carbs, protein and vitamins. You also have the option to load up a double portion on anything you want added or more of. Overall this is a step in the right direction for Macau’s healthy eating, plant based movement, and a good visit on your exploration of Macau. I can’t wait to see how it evolves and grows over time, as only 6 months in and it’s doing great!
